Visual and Interaction App Design
Some of the most interesting design challenges involve the intersection of digital design with the real world. For this project, I worked as part of a design team focused on creating an app used for Electical Linemen who would be using iPads as part of their workday interactions.
These interactions occurred not only in remote devices, but often on poles or in variable lighting situations, i.e. moving from indoors to outdoors, and high to low light. Additionally, the users would often be gloved while accessing the device to review or input data.
As a contractor, I contributed to alternate visual direction on this project, initially nicknamed "Leatherman" as a reference to it being a handy, sturdy tool of necessity.
